Project Description

Towards the end of 2020 LCS Summer I had an idea, did vendor and budget research, made a pitch deck, and got the approval to take on a secret and creative passion project to design a token of appreciation for my team. They’re the unsung heroes who demonstrated resilience and adaptability to keep the LCS thriving even during a global pandemic.

For the concept design, I drew inspiration from a combination of the Technical Difficulties Teemo graphic we use on broadcast, Super Teemo skin splash art, and existing Teemo figures. And since I was juggling this project with my day job and out of practice, I commissioned the concept drawing and 3D modeling. I provided feedback and direction to maintain LoL IP even though this was an in-house gift and not intended for any storefront.

I modeled the box after existing LoL figure boxes but gave it a unique series identity and made the package design reflect the last graphics package style before the LCS rebrand—so this also doubles as a time capsule of old logos. The gift lived up to its associated year because it arrived fashionably late (2022!) due to production delays and disrupted supply chain issues.
