Project Description

Similar to collectible Worlds pins themed to match the host country, I designed this pair of pins to commemorate the LCS Championship taking place in Chicago. I chose a couple of iconic things associated with the city—”The Bean” in Millennium Park (I learned it’s actually named Cloud Gate) and a gooey deep dish pizza.

I knew I wanted the bean to be a puff 3D pin rather than an enamel pin like the pizza, because I wanted it to look and feel like a mini piece of Chicago. And the pizza design was such a hit that we slapped it on Grubhub sponsored shirts for t-shirt cannon giveaways. (Yes, I also bought pizza at least 3x during the week I designed it.)
